Taxi Test - 2 Hour

Our taxi tests are for those applying to their local Council Licensing Authority for their taxi licence. Red One is the preferred supplier of taxi tests to several councils including Torbay, Teignbridge and East Devon. 

Our taxi tests are set to the DSA taxi test standard.

The 2-hour test option first includes an hour of practical driver development; this provides an overall review of the drivers understanding and skills. This is then followed immediately by the practical test. This option is recommended for those sitting their first ever test.

If you are located in North Devon we can offer you an ‘outreach’ appointment. 

During the COVID period, all taxi tests will take place using the instructors vehicle. This is to ensure the car can be thoroughly cleaned in between assessments.

✔ You must be sober and in a fit condition to drive

✔ You must be able to read a number plate at the distance of 20 metres
