Taxi Test - 1 Hour

Our taxi tests are for those applying to their local Council Licensing Authority for their taxi licence. Red One is the preferred supplier of taxi tests to several councils including Torbay, Teignbridge and East Devon. 

Our taxi tests are set to the DSA taxi test standard.

The 1-hour test option does not include any driver development and simply goes straight into the test. This option is recommended for those undertaking re-tests.

If you are located in North Devon we can offer you an ‘outreach’ appointment. 

During the COVID period, all taxi tests will take place using the instructors vehicle. This is to ensure the car can be thoroughly cleaned in between assessments.

The following is required when you arrive for training/test. Without meeting these terms we may have to cancel your session and a refund will not be applicable.

✔ You must be sober and in a fit condition to drive

✔ You must be able to read a number plate at the distance of 20 meters
